The only way to make the stock guages brighter is to sand the "film" behind the guages. This film blocks all the light passing thru them except for the letters and numbers. No matter how bright the bulbs are, the film will still block the light. But, I also heard if you sand them, you may get some bad spots from sanding too much off. I suggest if you want brighter guages, get indiglos.

I agree. Even though it is doable, it is risky

Click on my cardomain site for a how-to. I wrote a HOW-TO on here awhile ago, but of course it never made it to the sticky.

My gauge cluster is stock. The pictures are just properly exposed.

Yeah, when you disconnect the cluster from the OEM harness, it stays on for about 100 miles or so, then goes off. I didn't feel like waiting that long to take the pics.

That is quite fortunate for you.

Yeah, for some reason the indiglos for '02-'03's are rare. There are plenty kinds for the '00-'01's. Anyway, I remember seeing some on Ebay a while back. You may want to search there. Also, maybe try Autodynamic, Procarparts, or CustomEnterprise.
