Paint litigation

Does anyone remember the class action suit against Nissan for the paint on the Maxima's. They had stated in the brochure that it was Diamond tough or something to that effect, I signed up with this about two years ago and heard it was on hold. Nothing back from the firm below....

If anyone heard anything I would love to know?

Same thing that happens to nearly every class action law suit; nothing.

class action suits = get lawyers alot of money, get the complaintants next to nothing. Even if I thought this suit would win (which it won't), I wouldn't join it simply out of principle. If it is that important to you, get a lawyer to sue them individually....that way at least you'll get a bigger cut of your money.

(go read grisham's "the king of torts"...though it's fiction, it is based on reality and will make you pissed off)

don't believe everything you read...not all lawyers (or future lawyers) are bad. those ambulance chasers are another story though.

I signed up but figured I'd have just as good of a chance winning the lotto.

I got a $0.28 check from an American Express class action suite before Christmas. I was happy I could get my girlfriend something REALLY nice this Christmas...

Nothing will ever come about with this frivolous and pointless lawsuit.

I actually got $100 from Nextel in the form of credit or a pre-paid calling card in one of their class actions... but I forgot to claim it...

How is this lawsuite frivolous? If Nissan claims the paint is "tough" and then it chips and cracks if you fart near your car. Well that is perfectly good grounds to sue. If Nissan never claimed tough paint, this would be frivolous and pointless.

Frivolous is when Stella drops coffee in her lap and sues Mcd's, or some tard fills his tires with propane and blows half of his face off and wins $millions (thats why your tires say "only inflate with air").

here's what happens if the lawsuit wins:

Lawyers get a few million $$
Maxima owners get a bottle of touch-up paint.

enjoy!

it all depends on how you take action. i had my entire car repainted minus the ae body kit from nissan at no charge. i started my usual rounds at the local dealer whos owner at the time happened to be a family friend. they stated they could do nothing for me. i called nissan and they sent someone out. he said the white speckles underneath the clearcoat would buff out easy. i just kept being persistent with NNA and happened to have a good customer service rep there. Then about 3-4 months of that later then the car was repainted and has been great for 2.5+ years.
