P0430 Options
Ok I've scoured what information that I could on the P0430 error code. I already had and paid for the dreaded P0420, so I'm a bit aware of this already (as are most owners here). My car is a 2KSE with about 106,000 on it.
What options do I have? Can the P0430 be the O2 Sensor? If so, is there a way to test this sensor at all? Like switching the Bank 1 and Bank 2 around, or are they different? And really, will that tell me?
To take it to the stealership will cost about 100 bucks, so I can just buy an O2 sensor from DaveB, install it and clear the code. If it pops again, then it's probably the Precat.
I thought about a dual output sensor, but I'd rather the car work w/all the right sensors/parts working properly.
Any ideas?

Thanks Puppet. I'd read 2 of those before, but the other 2 were lost to me. Heh since I don't dig under my hood enough, some is a bit over my head at times.
My big concern if I replace the front pre-cat is having the car fail visual inspection during the CA smog test. The car runs great ATM, so I don't feel that the precat is clogged. And from what I see, the precat is merely an Elbow piece to connect to the Y-Pipe. So a replacement elbow and a "false positive" O2 sensor would work (if visually not seen), or cough up money for a new Precat. Is "cleaning out" the precat a simple jab with a screwdriver till it's all gutted?
I read where someone said the Precats only work while the engine is cold. Is it possible to warm up the engine, clear the codes w/an OBDII reader and then take it for the emissions test w/o throwing a code?
