Need Advice

I am in search of a 2k2 maxima 6spd but during my search I test drove a 1999 GS 400.

Now I am stuck between the two cars. Help me make a decision.

Some specific questions I would like answered are

Reliability( Looking at GS 400's with 70k to 100k miles.)?
Which is faster and responds best to mods?
Room (I have one kid)?
Is it worth buying a 1999 model for the price of a 2k2 max?

Thanks Newbie

Get the 2K2 6-Speed. But what kind of answer do you expect from a site called Maxima.org?

I bought my 03 brand new and it now has 65K miles. It has had no major problems and still runs like it's new.

GS400 = only automatic
2k2 max =6 speed option.
Why buy an auto if you want a manual regardless of the car.
If the GS came in manual I'd hope on it in a minute but since it doesn't go for the 6speed.

Thanks. I do want a manual. The GS 400 has steering wheel shifting but its not the same.
