Hi all, new here but have been stopping by and reading for a few weeks. I would love some help.
My dilemma:
I have a 1997 Accord LX-V6 I am trying to sell. Was originally going to get a 2000 accord EX V6 coup, but since my Dad has a 2000 GLE I have been driving that a little bit lately and really like it. I stopped by and talked to the guy who sold him his max and he showed me a few maxes.
1. 2001 white GXE w/16K miles: no spoiler,no sunroof. He wants like $3500 difference with my car as trade.
2. 2000 sand GXE w/ 20K miles: This dealer added leather, sunroof and spoiler. He wants like $4800 + my car.

I have not yet tried to negotiate with him so I may be looking at like $3000 and $4200 actual difference. Should I go with the 2001 and take cloth interior, but have him add the spoiler and a roof and leave some $ to get aftermarket 17"s or go with the leather and try to get him down some more, since it is a weird combo, GXE and leather.
Any thoughts?

Also, suggestions on first mods?
1. Tinting
2. Courtesy FSTB
3. Clear side markers
4. ??????

Any help or thoughts greatly appreciated.

Can't help but notice

that you say go reds....Cincy based perhaps? I am.

I would be wary of aftermarket added sunroof. I might be wrong but you could experience issues with it.

Whichever one you look at, check very, VERY closely at the paint. What you see is what you get. I have heard that the white is more difficult to use touchup paint on. Matching issues.

If its auto see if any of the TSB's have been done. Not sure how many of the TSBs actually apply to the 01 autos.

Leather has a little more maint but much nicer IMHO.

If it is Cincy (or surrounding area) who is the dealer?

When were the cars built/sold. The mileage seems large.

The white one would allow for more aftermarket goodies.

Hmmmm

Either which one you choose. BUT try to get the dealer to put the 17" wheels on it. Coming from a fellow GXE owner. The 15" setup sucks. Looks ok but personally I think if you are going to buy the thing you might as well start off with a setup that will perform from the get-go. 1st mod. Think about the FSTB, best mod for the price. All other things being equal, I would go for sunroof and spoiler and leather. Definately take a GOOD look at both cars and check into their historys (rental.. etc). Also, haggle and get the numbers in writing.
