Not a suspension expert here....

But are these bushings/end link/whatever peices you guys talking about responsible for "clunks" on the front end?

I have 80K miles and though the back end has no noise, the front end makes some subtle clunks that seems like worn out suspension.

Can you guys list me the name of things to ask my mechanic to check for?

Thanks!!!

Have you checked for blown struts yet? Just push down on the front end and see how it rebounds. If you push down, let go, and its bouncy or either side, that side most likely has a blown strut.

If your strut is blown, it'll also be a harsh, bouncy ride when you hit any bumps.

if this clunk is apparent when the car rocks back and forth on tranny shifts, that may be the problem. you can take it to a mechanick, and have them hook up "suspension ears". they are clamps with built-in microphones, pointed at various suspension components. they can listen on different mikes, and see where the noise is coming from. that's what i did, and the end links are the most likely suspect. several people confirmed the same thing from past experiences on maximas and altimas. if you are willing to spend the $50 for diagnostics, the suspension ears is the way to go.

A little specificity would help! Stock or Stillen lip? Stillen is in So Cal near you, so go up and get a lip.

BTW, stop threadjacking. This is not even related to the thread topic.

I made some sway bar end links using studded spherical heim joints teflon embedded style. Stronger and adjustable they work great. Please email me if you are interested in pics as I have no idea of how to post pics on the org.
I would sell these for what it cost me to build them $60.

If you are wondering I would sell these its because I made 2 sets, one for a spare but after seeing how strong they were there is no need to keep a spare!
