crunching noise - axels?
crunching noise - axels?
when i'm driving around slowly in a parking lot my car makes a crunching/sqeaking noise especially when going up and down speed bumps or turning the steering wheel all the way
anyone know where this sound is coming from?
i had my mechanic check the whole front end and he said its all strong and he cannot find the noise
how could you not find a noise???

There are several things that can go. I don't I know what you have but know of common noises that can occur. First, check your struts/shocks. You can do this by looking under the dust boots to see if oil is there. Or if your boots are broken the oil may be splattered around your wheel well. Also, I've heard that blown struts/shocks make a scraping sound. Other sounds that may occur, our sway bar links (mine were trashed and they made the wheel sound like it was coming off over bumps). Other things are bushings, bearings and those sort of smaller things. Also, try a different mechanic.
