Hey guys...and girls, I am looking into a cf hood and I am looking for feedback on the different brands/manufacturers avail. I have the impression that VIS is the best on the market, but I know there are a few other alternatives...some of which i know members have tried and had poor luck with. I am looking for personal experience and impressions of fit and finish, quality of materials and uniformity of the CF patern, and most importantly, how well did they do with the latch! I remember a while back one manufacturer had some serious issues with the latch comming undone and the hood flying back into the windshield. We just don't want that happening now do we??? You get the picture, now let the feedback begin!

i just ordered my vis oem hood for 427 if that helps. havent got it in yet but if u want feedback on it i'll have it next week. its my 1st cf hood so i cant really compare them to the others.

I have the VIS OEM on my car...its not a 100% sure fit....the passenger side does stick out ever so slightly...i got use to it though...can't really tell from a distance anyway (thats when most people look at your car)....

I hear others have great fitment on their VIS...ionno why mine came out a little off...but whatever, everything in life can't be perfect right?

im having it sent to the shop i go to so its 85 shipping as to 110 to have it shipped to the crib. i checked around and it was about as low as i could find the vis. hope i've helped ya ill report back when i get my baby back
