Look at the picture first, figure out what's wrong with it, then go to the link to see how this plays a not-so-good part.

Why would it have been registered as a fleet during the auction when carfax lists it as a "No fleet vehicle"...
One would think it's possible it was a privately owned business, but then why would it have gone to an auction
That's why you never buy a car off of E-bay.

Be VERY skeptical about ebay cars! I think any other source is just as risky. You have to make a thorough inspection.

What kind of person does not wash their car before they post picture of it to sell it. The paint looks like poo...but you should see if you can drive.

I've bought 3 cars off Ebay, one was a 210 dollar 94 Sentra 2 door 1.6L auto that needed 1 new injector, 700 dollar 93 G20 that needed a 200 dollar engine, but I decided to take it a step further and put a SR20DET in it, and last but not least my 94 Q45 that cost me 900 bux. I managed to sell the Sentra within days for 1500 dollars....

I would never buy a newer car off Ebay, but project cars are always good finds for me

...If we are talking about car buying experiences....I once bought an 89 Mustang Gt Vert from Florida off a website with the intention of flying down there with soon to be ex and driving it home...Listed @ $2800 OBO...Offered $2900 cash if he didn't screw me and would wait for plane down....
The porta rican (no offense to anyone here) I bought it off of actually removed the interior and laid USED thick green house carpet down inside..The timing was way off, and the transmission was going out.....
It was a fun ride home...Got to meet some crazy women from georgia who almost shot a few illegal Mexicans for hitting on my soon to be ex..Then asked if I wanted to see her 12 Gauge..
Since there was no rust on the body, I had it sold 36 hours after listing it for exactly what I paid for it.
Here's a pic in Illinois...It was right after the tornados ripped thru the midwest in ??2002??
It's the top green mustang in the group of three.

I bought an 02 envoy slt with every option on ebay for $13,750, 77,000kmi in may 05 (before the gas prices went up and the same car was available for $15k with 30kmi...). I haven't had any problems with it and ran the car fax a few days ago to find no accidents or indicators. Not that car fax is 100%, but I love the truck and it now has 90kmi on it and no problems at all. I did buy it from a dealership though

Those brakes look like hell good god. For the condition that car is in, they are asking way too much. I saw these clowns on ebay when I was looking for my max back in august, everything they had listed looked very beat up and overpriced. I got my 02 6 speed with leather, new tires, 43k certified pre-owned for $15,500 and it is in much better shape than that beast. I looked at one car they had for sale and it must have had 55 series tires on the stock 17's they looked horrible.

Judging by the Dunlop graspic snow tires on it, it does match carfax showing it's from NY/PA. I find it odd that the take a northern car and bring it south for sale. Usually the other way around.

Lookin at those rotors I'm thinking maybe this sat in some water as a result of one of the hurricanes or high water flooding somewhere. You have to be carefull right now because all of those cars are going to end up somewhere..

You know what, it probly is a Katrina car, i saw something on CNN tonight that their popping up all over the US, in PA NY and Cali has a big alert out because their all over the place. She said how to tell, by looking if the seat belt has a water line, if the a/c smells moldy or like a lot of perfume was used, is the air filter has water spots etc- all signs a car stood in water for a long time, and she said its easy to make the car look normal enough to sell.http://www.cnn.com/2006/AUTOS/01/27/...ars/index.html somebody should actually sticky that since everyone should know and its happening all over the country

You guys are judging this car by the rust on the brake rotors? LMAO! Park your car for two weeks when it rains and see how your iron rotors look afterwards. It only takes a few seconds for them to clean themselves off when used.

I agree. After some rain the rotors will look like that. As soon as you go for a drive it will be gone

the reason that car is in alabama is me. i have been looking for a blk/blk/6spd max for almost 3 mos. with no success. i knew that Donohoo Auto had two blk/blk/6spd before i sold my car, so i went back to get one and they were gone. it took them almost 2 months to find that car and when it came in i thought i was going to **** on myself. the car really is from new york, they get all their cars off-lease. so that might be what the fleet car meant. but yeah that car was hell on wheels, drove ok but doubt the rear brakes worked at all. and no the rust did not come off after i drove it. the back calipers are ****ed!

If anyone knows of a 02-03 blk/blk leather/6spd. PLEASE PLEASE let me know! im dying to get my car!

thanks
John
