My profile has now gone from "You may not post new threads" to "You may post new threads". So I guess I'm official now. Anyway, so here goes:

I purchased my 2000 GLE Maxima from a dealer here in WI about 3 months ago now. One thing that attracted me to this particular car that no other car I looked at had was a hand painted pinstripe along both sides of the car. Most of the ones I had seen were the decal or sticker type pinstripes. The car is Suoer Black with a two-tone charcoal and light gray stripe. The stripe has lettering in between that reads "Lines by Beck" I'm guessing this is the pinstriper that did the work. My question is does anyone else here on the .org have anything similar or was this just a custom job on the car as an option when purchased new? Once I can figure out how to post pics, I will post photos of my car.

 

What it soounds like to me is..................it's one of those custom airbrush stripes that cost a fortune!

Ask someoe to help you post some pics,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I'de like to see it, because it sounds interesting.

You living in IL, you can understand how dirty cars can get from the snow and salt. As soon as I can get the Max cleaned up, I will snap some photos and get them sent off to you. Thanks for the offer.
