I don't mean to divert you from the beating that these guys are giving you but how in the world are you getting 27 to 29 per gallon. That's insane! If I am calculating this correctly, you must be seeing at least 500+ on the odometer between fill ups.

Please share your caclulation method.

He's probably not running his tank completely empy, (18.5g), which is about the only way he'd be to get 500 miles @ 29mpg

do i really have to post the cal method? didn't you take math bro? get your fill up a specified amount in L, see the distance you get, that will be your L/X km, straight multiply by these conversions appropriately and you woul;d be right, I NEVER run my tank completely empty, do you? does anyone>? c'mon bro

And it's X km / L

From your post it seems as if you're looking to get Kilomters / liter.

ok listen if i were to get say 9.0K/100L,like you state, that would mean I would only be able to go about 5 and a half km before filling up, does that make sense to you, and how does my method suggest I am doing it that way? you see HOW MANY specified litres of gas you used ( ie that you know you put in) and see how far you go off of it, then you can convert this to X L/100K and subsequently to MPG, thats it, i apologize for personal attack, very frustrating though when im the one being attacked from the first damn post

Because I'm getting technical insight on this product. As I have been searching and debating as to whether I should purchase a Berk Intake System for my vehicle. If it does indeed help fuel economy, in the long long run it may end up paying for itself.

ok oncew you get the distance you travelled off the specified litres, you travelled say for example 25 Km off of say 2.5 litres of fuel, now put that into the proper units , which = about 9.2L/ 100K, then take it to MPG thats all man, your looking for how many litres you burned up per distance in km, you need to do it this way so you know exactly how many litres your dealing with, MPG does not straight go to Km/L, but rather is stated in L/100K

well im telling you this happened for me, im not saying that it will stay like this, as i have only had the intake on for about 3 or 4 days now, so who knows if it will even out over the next week, which is my sneaking suspicion, but it's a sweet mod in my eyes, and it HAS improved my mileage, but if you listen to what everyone else on here has to say, it's no good w/o any other mods, or it's only for sound, ect, anyways go with what you wanna do

I know it doesn't go straight from km / L .--> MPG, if it did, they wouldn't be km and Miles.

At least I got you to explain nicely... how do you think we feel when some newbies post..

I can't believe I read this thread, but.........to clear up what I am seeing as communication gaps between Nmex and Ratha........

Canadian vehicles have their gas mileage specified in L/100km. Why?.........I don't know. Many Canadians (including myself) convert this back to miles / gallon since that number means more to most of us.

HOWEVER, a Canadian imperial gallon is 4.546 litres whereas a US gallon is 3.785 litres.

Therefore, 29 MPG (Imperial) is actually only 29 * 3.785 / 4.546 = 24 USMPG.

I just did an estimate leaving room for variances. I gave the guy 19 gallons to be nice, then I multiplied it by the 27 gallons that he said he was getting. It came out to 513 miles.

I said 500+ miles because I know that the cars tank is only 18.5 gallons and he said that he gets up to 29mpg, which should give a reading of more than 513 miles on the odometer.

Since you brought it up, I have been on the forums for three years. I am deployed to Iraq / Persian Gulf for the last six months and will not be home for some time yet. I just forgot my login info and so I created a new login. So new? No I am not.

It just seems that nearly - not every one, but pretty close to it - every post I see from you is you getting on someone's *** about something. The whole purpose of the forums is to pool information and to kick it with people who share similar interests with you. If you don't like what they're posting, ignore it, and if it's in the wrong area or a repeat post let the mods deal with it. =D
