Btw, the exhaust set-up sounds good, but I'm sure its because you have headers and not just because of the muffler.
I would like to share with you a very short theory I have on the sound of the g35's, and most of the infinity's. I think the sound has more to do with the intake manifold. I am yet to hear a maxima that has the "infinity sound" to it, even though people have tried nearly all deviations in the exhaust. That is all.

you know that exhaust video clip reminds me of the frankencar catback setup thats on that white 2k2 max with hotshot headers. Has anyone esle heard the similarity? or is it just me ;p otherwise it sounds pretty good and i'm curious now to see if i can find a dead g35 sedan somewhere so i can get it's muffler. Though i have a 2000 max, i have a y-pipe stock cat and custom b-pipe, 2.5" piping from cat to stock muffler, no resonator.

im not really on the forums, and it just so happens that all the post ive made have accumulated over the years. so quit bein a **** . just relax.
don't worry about it...people like to complain about things...if you make a new thread they'll get on your @$$ and tell you to search...when you search they'll be like wtf lol
Sounds good. This thread is not over till the fat lady sings (even if it's over the phone).
I just thought of a good way to find a muffler for a g35 sedan. Get on car-part.com and look up a G35 rear door. Call that junkyard and ask them if the muffler is still on the car.

Thats a good idea Max. From what years was the muffler? Also did that video have any aftermarket equipment to make it sound like that. I have read the thread(2 years old) and didnt see anything on what he had installed besides the muffler. I saw the pipes were all f'ed up but the video sounded really nice

IIRC, the guy in the vid had Hotshot headers.
