Max wrecked - optional equiptment cost when new?

My wife got into an accident in our ‘00 SE 5sp and I'm 99.9% sure the insurance company will total it out. (Nobody injured besides my wife’s pain in her chest from the seat belt strain)

Question is: does anyone know what the dealers were charging for the optional traction control and for optional heated side mirrors on an ‘00 SE 5sp? Other than those two items, our Max is a fairly basic SE. (cloth seats, no Bose but with CD/cassette, no sunroof, no power seats, ETC…)

I’m getting ready for the adjuster to let me know once they look at it and want to have my guns loaded so I get the actual value to replace the car (less my $500 deductible that is).
Also, it has a clear bra on it…. Anyone know what those ran (aftermarket of course).
We are second owners so I don’t have the info on what the cost was for optional stuff.

You should be able to find the original sticker price of the car from Edmunds or KBB. Look up the value of the options in there also. Master teh search my friend.

I wish it were that easy. I have looked at Edmunds, KBB and NADA and none of them even list those items as an options.
If I had the original window sticker it would be there but I don't since I am the 2nd owner. I have Googled 'till I'm blue in the face
That's why I am turning to the org for answers

I wish it were that easy but you know how insurance companies are... I will not get screwed over on the settlement. Strange thing is too, It almost seems Maxima's have gone up in value. I can't find another one within 500 miles on autotrader.com or carsoup.com that isn't $2000 more than I paid for this one a year ago. I must have really swung a good deal last year... One thing for sure... There will be an SE in the garage again... soon as they get off their /\SS'es

Any chance you can get in touch with the dealership you originally purchase the Max from?

Just go under the guise that you anticipate purchasing a new one but need a quote for the current totaled one...you never know, you might be able to milk some extra beans out of the deal.

get a price for a current or 5th gen tc and mirrors. i think it will be a similar price to what you paid originally. when i had my audio equipment stolen, i went to a store and found similar stuff, and they just depreciated it by 20% or so. i think it's 10 or 20% per year for ice.

the insurance company wil lgive you less than the actual value of the car... so it doesn't matter of what equipment the car has, it is a six year old car totally depreciated. So be ready for a nice surprise, you might need a lawyer to help you out after the y totaled the car if they do that. Good luck

That's why I am doing my homeowrk on all this stuff. It states on my policy that they will pay me what it costs to replace it with a like car -less my deductible of $500.00-. I Googled Allstate and they had to pay a multi million $ settlement for screwing people over in Texas... Hopefully they won't try that with me in Utah. I won't go away for a low settlement and have my SUV and can get by long enough for a battle should it become nessasary... hopefully not.
