limp mode.... darn, free weapon r intake!!!!!!!!

I have a 2003 maxima 6spd , with an weapon r intake on it with the dragon filter, 2 years now 50,000km no problems , lots of snow fell and clogged up filter while i was driving, i cleaned it put it back on, it wouldnt idle it would stall,it stay running if my foot was on fuel a little bit, then the SES light came on and wouldnt rev over 2400rpm, So i think my MAF is Gone, Where do i buy the sensor only? And which one to buy?

your MAF is really expensive,,,$400+, you can always put the 01 updated version in yours for $88. Call DaveB for a price 1-888-254-6060.... your intake well keep it as a reminder of your pain.....j/k

Please go back to stock intake. Aftermarket intakes are not worth the expensive of a MAF. $400 part is not worth the 2-5 hp of a intake.....Do yourself a favor and put stock in

Sorry to hear about your car. I find it odd that you said your car was in a Limp Mode. Usually limp modes are only found on cars with automatic tranny, that indicate the tranny is going, since your car is a 6spd, I don't know what you meant by limp mode.

Take the 2 screws out of the top of the maf tube and slide the sensor out of the tube(your "bad/Old" maf). Look on the side of the sensor and you will see what looks like a resistor(which actually is a resister, called a thermister, that changes resistance as temperature changes), gently seperate the two clips holding the thermister in place, and remove the thermister. Just place that in your new 2001 maf, gently bend the clips tight on the thermister, put it all back together, and you just saved $350.00.

Drink a Beer.

Frankencar with K&N. I blew my maf after 15minutes with the intake. Modifiying the 2001 was easy.
