Maybe he means he took the bolts out but the caliper wont come off. Take a big azz screwdriver jam it between the rotor and caliper and ply, dont know if this helps?

Ahh can you explain wtf is going more clearly???

Sorry for the bad explination. Ok Im trying to take off my caliper because i wanna replace my rotos. you guys know the two bolts the hold the caliper in place over the rotor. These are free. I try to unscrew them but they will not unscrew from their current position. What in you opinion needs to be done?? I tryed to pry out the bolts while unbolting them at the same time but no good. Has anyone had experience with this mess???

First suggestion,
If you have a Punch and can see the other end of the bolt, "lightly" tap it out. Don't use to much force so that you don't damage the caliper. After a couple of taps, try to unscrew it again.

haha, some new threads in the mount are gonna look cool. as for the english lesson, saying "seldomly ever happens here" = bad english. we like to say "seldom happens here".

so it spins free and doesnt back out, this is the bolt from the mount to the caliper...try pulling the caliper away from the bolt ie: <caliper---bolt> while unscrewing it. it sounds like the bolt is in past the threads and just needs to be pulled back enough for the threads to catch.

could be worse....I look down at my wheel the other day (front right) and see that the upper caliper mounting bolt (smaller one) is COMPLETELY MISSING. GONE. Caliper had fallen down about 1" but not enough to hit the inside of the wheel. No idea how long it's been like that

thankfully, Joel (puppetmaster) had an extra bolt about a mile away

sounds like it was cross-threaded and somebody forced it on there with an impact and stripped the whole thing.

what you should do is use a vise-grip wrench, lock it on the top of the bolt, and turn and pull at the same time.

Caliper Bolts

It sounds like your having problems with the smaller bolts, but ALL four bolts, including the two larger ones need to be removed to get the caliper off.

Well if he wants to replace the rotor the second set has to come off to remove that secondary frame. I assume he is going to replace the rotor if hes doing any brake work. Maybe a bad assumption?
