just my thinking?
ok now lets think about this, i hear alot of people saying stick with the stock airflow. yes its true that the opening for the stock intake goes up to the front blah blah yeah but its above the grill. when the hood shuts it completely covers up the damn intake, what use is that? maybe im just a but i think we have something to think about

When you close the hood you can still see the black thing (air Intake), it is fine and the car get all the air it needs to perform ok....

Attention!!!!
YET another INTAKE thread. Does GOOGLE sound familiar?
s listen up. To answer maximaownsyou the opening allows inflow of air. And if you ask me how, your car is moving and air flows through the grille. Now theres a sensor very close to the opening that reads this and keep your throttle open. Ever noticed not only maximas have this opening?
Berk growls(it has a nice sound) and you'll get a little hp. Now if you not scared of the thought of sucking water which has not been proven to happen, go for a WAI (INJEN CAI)
is WAI right. Warm Air Intake since most ppl agree that Injen is not a true CAI but it really depends on the weather too.
Hope this helps you.
AS for me, I have INJEN and I lost some low end power but you know I dont need that cos I have an AUTO 5th Gen. All I have to do is stay at high RPMs.
