i was goin to do something like that to my headlight, but not sure which projectors to use. my friend did something like that to his matrix, he used bmw 3 series projector with the mazda rx-8 shroud. i plan on usin the q45 if i can find them for cheap.

man, if i had the money, i would use the Lexus LS430 projectors...holy freaking crap i was behind one the other day, and i kid you not, they reached the other side of the interstate and there's about a two lane gap inbetween each direction....insane...when i passed him, his lights completely covered mine!

here's a picture of the rear

i think it took about 2-3 days to do this retrofit...i didn't ask him what he use for the lights. i really want to see how this look on a maxima as well but have to wait for his customer to take some pics and send to him first.

yup those LS430 projectors are crazy wide and output is super they outperform the s2000 projectors...if you put the s2k lens on the LS430 it's super sharp and colorful and still super wide, some guy on hidplanet did that mod...i want those too but they're expensive lol

no point in getting them though, the reflector portion is huge and I really doubt it would fit in the headlight housings properly.

But, the shrouds look really nice and so does the bulb cover. Everything seems to flow so well. I would even say that these look close to OEM.

i think the q45 might fit but those are expensive as well and they don't provide as much output as others (like s2k or tsx projectors)...they just look nice hah hmm as for price you can check out his website http://www.customlightz.com

but if i were to get retrofit i would use tsx or s2k since they'll fit and provide enough good output. LS430 would be super nice if it can fit tho hah

I went to www.hidretro.com and asked the guy about the q45 projectors for our car. Do you think that would really fit. Seems kinda big to me when you see it on the site, but it would be nice if there were some way to fit that big *** bulb in there

The customer used 03 S2000 projectors. Modified of course...Very sharp cutoff while keeping an intense deep purple around the cutoff.

Let me take the time to introduce myself. I"m Bjorn, and me and Rich run Custom Lightz LLC.

For this particular setup, we combined the E46 and A4 shrouds. This has become a Custom Lightz trade mark, since we are the only ones who have done it, and we have done it to several cars.

The custom CCFL, which was done to the E46 shroud is also a signature of ours, and though it's very bright, it is simply out illuminated by the very intense custom angel eyes. To top things off, we modified the corner indicator portion to fit an integra projector lense. We deliberately choose a cloudy lense in order to blend in with the running day time lights.

Further, we painted the healdight highgloss black, and that's acutally what you see around the turn signal portion as well. The picture doesn't justify the real deal. BTW...these pictures were taken solely for our customer as a sneak peak, so that we could keep him updated of the process.

One thing to add. The customer has a 01 Maxima, and we have done a very complicated wireharness to convert from 9003 bulbs to hid lowbeam and seperate halogens high beams. And so that all bulbs can be running at the same time.

More sneak peaks at www.customlightz.com/zain
We sent out the healdights today...so pictures of the healdights on the car should be posted shortly.

If you guys have any questions let me know.

Can email me at retrofit@customlightz.com

Looks awesome

Hey i think it would look even better if you did the opposite side and have the projectors where the halogens are originally and still have the hids with the projectors. Also use the ddes from umnitza.

I"m just curious...do you think bixenons are better than single xenons? I don't see the point in retrofitting a set of bixenons unless you have a civic with one reflector bowl sharing low and highbeam with say a 9004 or 9003 bulb. But even then, a single xenon is better.

i think because the 00-01 maxima uses dual filament bulbs for low beams and high beams that's why they think of bixenons...only the 02-03 have separate high beams so no need for bixenons for them. although i wouldn't mind retrofiting some acura TL bixenons on my 02
