there's pretty much nothing that will take superglue off...maybe try some plastic polish compound on the inside of the lens. The "plastic thing" is part of the headlight....you won't find anyone/anyplace that sells it alone. You could buy a stock headlight housing for alot less than $200 if you look around though.

I can't believe I just posted in this thread. i just wasted 20 seconds of my life that I'll never get back...

Hi, you can sand it off. Just like polishing off haze. Just use 600, 800, 1000, 2000 grit, then meguiars scratchx plastic polish. Good luck. They look great.
Sorry about the huge pics, i wanted you to see the details.

During Sanding

Next time you use super glue and you dont wanna get any haze on anything near where you are putting the glue spray some super glue accelerant, its makes the stuff dry in like 5 seconds and the glue doesnt haze.

I've used the superglue remover and it didn't work very well. Took off the glue but left the cloudiness.

I was using it on another plastic piece which was clear. You could actually try some 3m rubbing compound. It's expensive but works good.

Gota chime in. You can get that glue off of your housing. Just start with the superglue remover then move on to the sandpaper in ascending grits. Take your time and it will come off. It's not like the super glue permeated the plastic. It's on the surface and it can be removed. If you still want to go witht he eyelid fix. Get yourself some vinyl from the tint shop and cut out some eyelids from these. They look great and will last a long time. I did this to my car a long time ago when I thought that I wanted eyelids and they looked great.

Click on the link to view the eyelids. If you like I can make you a few sets.

If it's something you can get at Home Depot, you should be able to find it at Lowes and probably for less money.

i'll give it a try right now, i'll go and try to see if i can find some super glue remover, i'll bake the headlight and open it...
and if the glue ends up being in the "lens" than iam screwed, but if its only on the top (surface) than it should come off as a chunk, i should be able to get it off with something sharp (razor)
i'll see...i'll keep u guys updatated...
thanks for all the help

i bought 2 kinds of super glue removers and it wont do ****.....
I've tried it on an old headlight that i have, and it just spreads the glue all over the headlight, it dosent take it off. so i am screwed...
i'll just have to buy another headlight...ohh welll.
i'll be parting this one out, so if anyone needs any pieces just offer me a price, and i'll sell it...
that way when u guys buy stuff from me, u'll help me out to get headlight quicker , thats what orgers are for...
thanks guys for all the support...

Lowes should have it. Since you're going to have to split your headlamp you might as well just do any headlight mods that you were planning to do in the future.

If you are going to split your headlight, you have to get some of the original grey butyl that Nissan uses to seal the lights. Do not use the silicone that everyone else uses. It will eventually fail. I have rolls of the light grey butyl that I sell. It's cheap and will make your project easy. By the way, if you need someone to do the job, pm me. All work is guaranteed.

what do u mean?
like you'll have to buy wire harness kit...its like $49 shipped...
and than you'll just have to connect the wires correctly...
and since you are newbie, it'll take some time for us to send u instructions unless you can find some on the org....
good luck man

The cheapest way to get super glue off is to use acetone!
Your best bet would be to buy some fingernail polish remover that has acetone in it and it should take the glue off. If the acetone isn't strong enough we used a mixture of toulene and acetone...I'm not sure where you can purchase toulene at though...I'm not sure how far Muncie is from Oxford but I could get you some toulene from my work. However like I said the acetone does work!
