got my 2k2/2k3 headlights :)

hey guys,
i just got my headlights today,
i didnt have any time to hook the HIDs yet, but i'll be doing it this weekend....looks so friggin hard, i hope i know how to do it....
but i couldnt wait to see the headlights on a maxima, so i had to take AE headlights off and put the new headlights on, just to look at them lol
here are some pics
let me knwo what u guys think.....
was it a good move to get these headlights?
thanks guys
anyone with some info on hooking the HIDs up would be helpful.
thanks

should i bake them, paint them black and clear the turn signal light?
or should i keep it the way it is....
if i open them i'll have to add angel eyes...
but give me some suggestions
thanks

mang, them sure look awesome, I can't wait to get mine, prolly a year away though. I think there is a how-to in the stickies, check it out, and do a search, I'm sure there is something somewhere. goodluck.

HID's are well worth the investment far more better than the halogens! I see you have a '00-'01. It's not that hard at all, just a lot of splicing. Did you get the headlight wiring kit? This is all you need in making the install. Also, avoid making the HID's blink with the turn signal by grounding the turn signal to a seperate ground. The final install should also have your HID's to stay on if the high beams are on at the same time. Good luck....and welcome to the "HID club".

If you don't even know the dif between a positive and a ground wire....stop now, so you won't fry anything in your car later. But to help out, black or brown is usually the ground.

darius: my new headdlights its a long story lol (right headlight was $235 shipped on ebay), left headlight, i got for free from my cuz, because he was in the accident and he broke his right one, so he just gave me his left (because: he is doing retrofit on projector headlights that he got).....I had to buy HIDs which includes: (2 bulbs, 2 transofrmers and there was a wiring harness too) that was $127 shipped off of ebay.....
so thats all around $350, but i had to pay for shipping for the left headlight that my cuz gave me, which wasnt as expencive....
and yes my AE headlights are for sale....If interested PM me the price and i'll let you know if i'll sell it for the amount....
nothing wrong with them..

actually Iam going to take the GTR emblem rite now and throw that ***** away hahaha
if anyone wants it....pay for shipping and u can have it lol
peace

headlights almost done....
i got right one (passenger side) hooked up, works really good, i was amazed...wasnt hard to hook wires up at all...
left headlight (drivers side) had some trouble, because where the bulb is supossed to be, it is not included with the headlight, so my dad is making one... but he had to leave he got an emergency call....he'll be back in 1-2 hrs...and he told me that we'll finish everything later tontie...but other than that i was amazed with just a right headlight....HIDS are tite...
i'll post some pics later tonite when i get everything to work..
thanks guys for all the help...

hAHAHA
but, i shouldnt be laughing...i got some really really bad news...cant get worst then this....here is the story: (get ready to cry lol)
---waited for my dad to help me out do some modification on the headlight, the headlight was ****ed up, so we had to use super glue to glue this thing ( cant really explain what, but its in the headlight, you cant see it, i dont know why we were ****ing with it...So "MY DAD" was putting super glue in it slowly but the thing wouldnt glue, so he keeps on doing it (putting super glue in), while i was working on some wiring...so he gets the glue to work and everything works fine...we put the bulb in and i turn the headlight over to put it in my car and to hook the wires up (here comes the sad part ) when i turned the headlight over, i see this white stuff on the inside (it really looked like sperm lol), but unfortunetly it was super glue from the inside of the headlight, i almost started crying i was so mad...tried to clean out but didnt work...Do you guys know any chemicals that would clean it out...i'll bake the headlight and open it, and i'll try my best to clean it...just wants some suggestions from you...and the HIDs that I've put in, for some reason the right(passenger) one that i have is more bluish compared to the left(driver - the one that has glue on it) one, but later on when i turn the car, they both became one color...iam guessing its because of the electrity that it gets....and while i was hooking up headlights, i decided to rewire my fogs to work by itself...thanks to http://www.innerbean.com/housecor/fog_rewire.html
very helpful information, and fogs work just fine...very happy with them...
here are some pics of the headlights on, off and the glue ****
help me out guys...if there is no way out i'll have to buy another left headlight (another $200) and i'll be selling parts from the one that has glue, so if anyone needs something to buy and that wants to help shift_2kmaxima (huso) to buy a new headlight lol...let me knwo and i'll sell stuff ahhahaha.
here are pics lol...
