My 2001 is only a month old and when I pull up in my driveway, it shifts or slips or something, making a clunking noise. My driveway is on a slight incline and I turn in slow. Sounds like it comes from the transmission. Has anyone had this same problem? I have not had the problem mentioned in the TSB about slipping from first to second, unless this is it. I am going to make an appointment for it at the dealer this week.

No, I dont think so. My driveway is smooth. It's almost like a hard downshift, except I have already slowed down to pull in. So I don't know why it goes clunk when I pull up. I guess just best to take it in next week.

Try putting your tranny in "N" set the e-brake then put it
in "P". So that your tranny doesnt "clunk" when you shift
into "D" when you take off, if that doesnt work take it back
to the Nissan dealership

i think he meant it feels like a downshift, not that he is actually doing the shifting himself?
