Which set up is better? Also Weekend Painting Project Completed (5 Pix included)

Which set up is better?

presently it looks like whats in the headlight but i bought a new pair of blinker assemblies new so i could do something different since im not a fan of the smoked gray lens i put in a few months ago. there is a picture of what it looks like with the stock orange lens next to it, but what i was thinking of doing was taking out the lens all together to give it a mini projection housing theme. those sidemarkers are the stockers back in because i sold and shipped my cleared ones to 98maxi, i plan to tint these when i get the spray in the mail, so ignore the amber uglyness =\

Completed Painting Project

-Housing blackened out semi glossy
-Replaced a broken ring and ballast, angel eyes work again
-Got rid of the 02/03 clips, no more ugly GAPS! (special thanks to BlackBIRDVQ for the help with that)

-Chrome tail fix after first screw up, and now both are redded out (still kinda amberish, when i get more time ill spray a little more candy red)

edit: yes i know it says 5 pix included but it wouldnt let me load 5 so its down to 4 =\

You can also remove the smoke piece and get a chrome bulb that blinks amber. I really like how it cleans up the front end.

Bro, you removed the 02/03 clips? Does your headlight bounce around now?

i tryed taking a pic in the dark, the rings dont come out well, just looks like a big blob of light.. i gotta wait till dusk or dawn to take a pic and have it come out well. ill post it when i take it.

heres a few older ones tho:

yea i removed the bottom 02/03 clips and it sits perfectly flush now. the bouncing i have not witnessed yet.. however let me get back to you when i drive it at night, right now the low/high beams gotta be reaimed, since it only lights up the 3 feet in front of your car.

once i get that fixed after work ill get back to you.

If it is vibrating and bouncing, you could just use the 3m double-sided tape to hold it in place.

well i aimed my headlights and drove them at night, i have not had problems with them vibrating or anything, but to make extra sure nothing happens (better to be safe than sorry) im gonna do what upstatemax said and use some 3m tape to seal it down.

i would recommend you take those clips off so it sits perfectly flush! prolly just going to have to reaim them is all.. no more ugly gaps bro.

Instead of sealing it down, can't you just get window insulation and stick it to the underside of the housing? That way you don't have to stick something to the paint of your bumper.

This will also deaden them if they're vibrating or loose.

The 3M tape will not hurt the paint, all you would have to do is use goo gone to get rid of any residue left behind if you remove it. Besides it is under the housing no one can see that part of the bumper.
