recently my driver's seat motor stopped going back and forth. i took it to the dealer and they told me that the motor needs to be replaced. i've seen posts in the past and know that their is a tsb ntb02-001c about it, but did not see any about anyone replacing the motor themselves.

http://maxima.theowensfamily.com/tsb/NTB02-001c.pdf

my question is has anybody attempted to replace the seat slide motor kit themselves and if so approx. how long did it take.

i can get the motor for like $160 plus shipping.

thanks

Funny to see this today.. I've been thinking about replacing mine for about 6 months now.. Strange thing is it started working again last night. I had the exhaust fixed ,put some new tires on and pulled the SES code (p0051 o2 sensor)and now the seat works again..They don't build them like they used to..LOL Anyway figured I would chime in to keep the thread alive. I know I'll be replacing mine soon and can use any help/advice that I can get.

has anyone else had a problem with the seat motor? and if you did, did you have the dealer do it or replace it yourself?

thanks

Check some junk yards, or the parts for sale forum, sometimes people crash their cars and part them out.

Buy the motor where you can get it for $160 and have someone else install it.
