The Best Cams

I was doing a little "research" on some cams that someone I know might wanna purchase for the vq35 motor. I need some help on deciding which ones are best.....Here are the specs....

Tomei 256 x 10.22mm Camshaft Set for the VQ35DE Engine-
The first cam available for VQ35DE. TOMEI starts there cam lineup for the 350Z, Altima & G35 off with a 256 duration and 10.2mm lift cam grind. This cam grind will Idle like stock, and deliver a nice top end grunt along with a crisp throttle response.

Tomei 264 x 10.2mm Camshaft Set for the VQ35DE Engine-
The first cam available for VQ35DE. TOMEIs second cam grind for the 350Z, Altima & G35 comes with a 264 duration & 10.2mm lift. This cam grind will have a SMALL lope @ Idle almost stock, and deliver a better top end grunt along with a crisp throttle response. These will make great Street Cams for the N/A & Turbo VQ35DE.

Tomei 268 x 10.5mm Camshaft Set for the VQ35DE Engine-
The first cam available for VQ35DE. TOMEIs biggest cam grind for the 350Z, Altima & G35 to date comes with a 268 duration & 10.5mm lift. This cam grind will have a nice lope @ Idle, and deliver a good top end booost along with a crisp throttle response.

JWT Cam Upgrade for the VQ35DE Engine-
260 DEG DUR. / .428"(10.9MM) Lift, INT. advanced 2 degrees. ** NOTE: This cam upgrade may require the idle RPM be set to 850 RPM to prevent possible stalling at idle. 2004+ LEV II vehicles do not allow for idle adjustment and should not use these cams unless an idle stabilizing kit is installed (Call Before Install). LEV II production starts 10/03 for 350Z and 6/03 for G35. These cams are designed to use the stock valve springs.

Nismo R-Tune Cams
With a 262 degree duration / .426" lift, the cams will give up to a 15hp gain. Increases horsepower over wide rev range, maintaining low-end torque while increasing mid-range and top-end power. No other adjustments required of ECU or engine.

I dunno which ones to tell him to go with guys, im a little lost myself. I heard the nismo r-tune cams are good, but I know tomei is a good company also.....any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

Did you mean Spec I or II?

These are from the link I posted above:

NISMO's Spec 1 setup 276 degrees duration .433 " lift. The exhaust cam is 256 degrees duration with .413" of lift.

NISMO's Spec 2 cams are for the ultimate in top end power. 284 degrees of duration, and .433" lift on the intake side, exhaust cam features 268 degrees duration with .413" lift.

If you plan on boosting stick w/ the JWT cams. They don't shift the power curve too far to the right lke the more aggressive cams such as the tomei cams. Alot of the boosted 350z are running the JWT cams and seem to like them.
