abs wire snaped

abs wire snaped

well while drive, my abs light came one. and after checking things out, the abs wire was cut in half. do i need to to replace just the wire or the whole abs system. and where can i get parts for cheap????

It is the ABS sensor, a new one comes with the sensor and the wire that runs into the engine bay.

If all that is wrong is that the wire was cut, all you have to do is splice it back together. If it is too short, you can splice a piece in there. Works like a charm. BTW the new wire is about 200 bucks!

well can it be spliced??? and yes it is just the wire. and has anyone done this? well thanks for the idea

i have a spliced abs sensor wire, its been fine for over a year.

I am sure you can splice them, I did not when I fawked mine up because my extended warranty covered them (naturally they did not know I was slammed on coilovers ).

thanks for all the help. i spliced them today and the light went off and good as new very easy to do. and yes a new wire would cost me around 180. so thanks for helping me save money
