technosquare L-Spec
I plan on sending my ecu out soon. I am getting the technosquare L-Spec.
I know that timing isn't done with the L-Spec. But I was planning on having the dealership advance it to 17. If I take it to the dealership is there a way that they could reset my ecu and wipe out the reflash from technosquare?

umm yeah i think there might be a chance that could happen. im not 100%. but where did you plan on going to get your timing advanced? were both in the same area and ive only asked 1 dealership so far (smithfield) and they said no without even knowing what i talked about. send me a pm or something if you know a place around here that will do it.

When did you get ahold of TS?
Check the AM forum, www.howstuffworks.com.
DL an FSM, and do some research on and any other source you can on ignition timing, base ignition timing(BTDC)
because it doesn't seem as if you know what timing you're talking about.

I know what timing I'm talking about its ignition timing. I want it 17 btdc. This is done through the ecu with the consult-II. I remember seeing that technosquare messes with timing but I think that it might be for valve timing. I figured that if they can do all these other things to our ecu they could advance the ignition timing.

nothing as long as you do it correctly by always using the highest grade octane 91 or higher. by advancing the timing your firing a little earlier than stock timing and by using higher grade octane which burns slower you can get the best power stroke. what you want is to fire as the piston is just reaching top dead that way you get ignition as it is starting to come down thus providing a stronger power stroke, higher octane burns slower thats why you advance timing on higher octane within reason, sometimes you can end up losing power by advancing the timing or using high octane alone. remember timing is everything.
