absolutly no pick up

absolutly no pick up

i have no pick up in my 01 maxima i have a cold air intake and cat back exhaust yet theres no power in first gear the car can barely spin the tires when i slam the gas off a stop is this my tranny?

do you have traction control... i had an 01 maxima and i couldnt get it to spin the wheels till i used the e-brake... no problem now that i have a 02 max 6 spd..woot woot!!!

was it like this *BEFORE* you put the intake and catback on?

i think i know how i destroyed the tranny i have an auto and when i race it i like to use the 1st gear and second gear then shift into drive that may have done it lol

Yeah that may have done it but it also may not be the tranny. Did you run it deep into the red when you drove like an idiot?

Mine will spin the tires slightly on launch if I power brake and have the traction control off. I shift manually and have not had any transmission problems. I have Frankencar intake and y-pipe and b-pipe. Car is not as fast as I would like, but it is an auto. 3.5 would be nice but I love my AE.

i have the same problem..i think in my case its the rims..i have the 17's and i think they are 2 big n heavy for the 3.0.

comes with 17's on some models stock. I bet mine are lighter than yours.
