cv boots

My cv boots have come apart and the knuckles are exposed. Do I need to get those replaced asap, or is it not too important? Is this normal? Am I normal? What are those funny hairs growing down there?

Get them replaced NOW unless you want to buy new axles...

How long have they been like this? Because if the boots are as badly damaged as you say and the axles have been exposed for a while, then you will need to replace the axles as well.

No you are not normal, those hairs are bad, shave them off. If you touch it you will go blind

Go stand in the corner.

If the joints have been exposed for a while, are unlubricated, and are starting to click, it may be too late and you'll probably have to replace everything.

www.raxles.com seems to be the site of choice around here.

Now i'm confused! God I hate puberty!!

-The axles seem fine, but i've had the car for about 4 mo. and put about 5K miles on it (all commuter highway) and they were like that when I got it. I reside in Texas, and the roads in Dallas aren't too bad.
-Thanks for the link, BTW.
