SeaFoam Testimonial
I know there has been a lot of talk about SeaFoam and a lot of worries about it too. This should probably go in the fluids section, but considering how totally kick *** this product is, I wanted everyone to know.
I Seafoamed my car today, straight in through the brake booster line(slow and scary) and I followed all the instructions and let it sit for 5 minutes.
When I cranked my car up and started to hammer on it, it really opened up and blew 72k miles worth of crap out my tailpipe. Car sounds amazing now, much better throttle response and really runs like the beast it is.
I haven't had any problems with it and I convinced my friend to use it on his 1989 240sx(like 200k miles) because it was idleing all over the place and the motor leaks oil etc. We had the neighbors call because they thought we caught the house on fire, but when the smoke cleared his car idled perfectly and sounded excellent.
I definately think this is a miracle in a can, and for $5.44 at your local Advanced Auto Parts, there is no reason that you can't enjoy it too.

You have to do it right...
You have to get it in quick by playing with the throttle cable to keep it from stalling while you suck it up with the brake booster line then turn it off quick.

Dont think so, it is combustable and you put very little in, about 1/4 the can.

When sucking up the seafoam, do it in small amounts, suck in a little, engine will want to stall, wait for it alittle, suck in more...etc until you get 1/4 of the can in.

It worked pretty good for me, too. Although i didnt notice a HUGE difference. Lots of smoke for a good 15mins. Decided to drive it around since I live in an apartment development and didnt want the old fart neighbors complaining. (heritage village, upstatemax might know where that is).
slowly letting the intake suck it in is key. if u just dunk the hose into the fluid the car will stall (happened to me). just kinda keep the opening of the hose hear the surface of the liquid and the vacuum will suck it in. once uve got it in, turn off the engine and wait.
anway, its a perfectly cromulent product, imo.

so since i'm a moron here it goes. you pull off the left end of the brake booster line and put it in the can, nto submerged though, and then let it suck up about a quarter of the can?
dumb question i know, but i'm still kinda new to this stuff

Pull the right end off so the seafoam goes towards the intake manifold over the engine.
The part that is circled in red in the pic is what you pull off.

It will be really diluted in gas tank, you are mixing a small bottle of cleaner in with about 16 gallons of gas.

Yeah, I moved to NYC three months ago and I am keeping my car upstate since I dont need it down here and cars tend to get beaten to s***t down here.
