New tints

so yesterday i finally tinted my max... 5% in the back 35% on the front... i noticed today that around the rear windshield, that it almost looks like the tint is coming off around the perimeter of the window where its black and has a meshy sort of look... but when i check from the inside the window looks fine... my question is is this normal or a bad tint job... or what... also its a rainy/snowy day today could that have an effect? $150 later i want it to be perfect lol... thanks.

Give it a few days for the tint to dry. If it's still like that afterwards, then take it back. Hope you have a lifetime warranty, or some sort of warranty atleast. Do you have any pics?

The reason why the tint is like that on the rear window is because the tint does not quite stick to those little black dots on the glass. This is common and normal. Most tint places won't even attempt to place tint over these dots because they know it won't stick. Mine was done this way and after waiting about a week after the tint was done, I trimmed mine around the edges. You can't tell from the outside. I have 20% all the way around.

ya it'll problly go away...it took mine about 1 week before it was finally smooth looking. also, it's best to install tint during the summer so it'll dry faster...during winter it takes longer especially when you're having rainy/snowy days and no sun out =/

I might be wrong, but the guy told me not to turn on my rear defroster during the three days after the tints were done. I don't know if that is true or not, but thats what the guy told me.

Yeah, do not use the rear defroster nor roll down the windows until after about a week or so. This will give the glue on the tints to adhere to the glass much more smoothly. If you don't folllow those simple rules, you're asking for trouble in maybe ruining your tint. The glue will not dry right and your probably going to end up with "air bubbles" in your tint. Tint done in the winter months maybe take longer for the glue to dry. Summer months tend to dry the glue much more quickly because of the heat.
