becareful when doing this, the easiest thing to break are the nipples. Take your time and remember the trouble of having to get an ENTIRE NEW ASSEMBLY if it breaks...happened to me...

I just replaced my fuel filter on my 2k1 and it was a big improvement - 122K. Worth it in my opinion. Just be very careful and take your time. I did it with a friend and it took about an hour and a half maybe. Cabin did smell a little like gas for a few days as it spilled when I opened the tank.

Old thread, but three hours seems rather slow given what's involved. I can just about do my Camaro's in tank pump in that time, and there's just a little (sarcasm) bit more to it. Have to pull the rear axle/suspention and drop the tank to get at it. Something I am looking at doing this weekend. Joy.

As for the connections, I believe they make a special tool for those which makes it real simple to remove.
