SES P0430 - One owners solution
Hi All,
Thought I'd contribute my experience for those encountering the p0430(Catalytic Converter Inefficiency Low - Bank 2 error) code. Mine ended up having two bad rear O2 sensors. Along with that I had the reprogramming for the MAF done that I had replaced myself a year ago. Car runs sooo much better now.
The interesting piece is that one rear sensor was on Bank 1 which never through any code and I'm curious how long it had been bad as well as how much it impacted the performance. From what I read I don't believe this sensor had anything to do with the p0430 since the code documentation only referes to BANK2. My car was running horribly, stalling when cold, poor acceleration, burning very lean...etc.
With 113k mile I it now runs like it will last another 4 or 5 years.
Hope this helps.
