hmm.. air question
hmm.. air question
i was reading and it seemed like it would be worth spending the small amount of money to get an air breather. i guess it lets the crankcase breathe a little better? any comments? where would it be installed?
Where were you reading about them, and what type?
The car already has a basic system in place from the factory, just goes through the pcv valve.
There are the generic plug in breathers that replace that system with a small filter, but that's not going to gain you anything, and modifying any emissions system or component is illeagal regardless of where you live. There are various local and state emissions laws( or lack there of ) but federal laws still apply even if there are no local laws or inspections.
There is a crankcase system that is used in racing applications that connects to the exhaust that when done properly will help with performance gains. I personally only have experience on small block chevy applications for that.
