Fog Light Issue!! Please Help!!!

I have been having an issue with my foglights since i bought my max. I drove off the lot with my maxima (small used car lot) and on my way home I blew a fuse for my foglights and they obviously went out. so i figured no biggie i iwill put a new fuse in. so i get home and put a new fuse in and they worked with out a problem. so i park it and go to bed. the next night I turn on my foglights and they worked for about half the ride home and they went out again. so i checked the fuse again and ofcourse it is blown. so after a week of aggrevation and a box of fuses I bring it to my brothers job (GM dealership) and I had his master tech take a look at it. He tried to see if the system had a draw anywhere and found nothing. he looked for a broken wire or something and still nothing. he said everything looked good and was still unsure what it could be. He suggested the combo switch that controls the headlights.foglights and blinkers might be bad. I just wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions before i buy a switch. please let me know what you think it might be

check the housing.. there is something that is causing the short. Take the housing out and check for water leaks and the cables ..

You can use a multi meter and go from the negative terminal of the battery to the housing and see if you have any voltage.

mine did that the other day to. i have reason to believe that the bulb is not getting a good connection. like the wire that is actually connected to the bulb. if i were you i would but another cheap bulb in it and see what happens and if it still blows that obviously is not it. i am just trying to throw around some possible causes
