q45 calipers on 5.5 gen?

I have heard of a few people putting q45 calipers on 4th gen, but I haven't seen any how to's. Is it possible to do this upgrade on a 5.5? would like to improve braking without spending a ton of money on brembos, and stay on 17's

Why dont you just put on the 6th gen calipers and call it a day?
check this http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=451967 for more info.

^^^^ listen to him.

6th gen calipers and rotors are an easy upgrade for the 5th gen Max, and they're quite a bit larger than 5th gen brakes. They will probably fit under your stock 2002/2003 wheels according to some board members who have done the upgrade. They would most likely not fit under the 2000/2001 wheels (they have a slightly different offset from the 02/03 wheels).

Just check that thread I posted above. Every single question you can think of will be answered, sometimes two or three times. There are also many more pictures from others who have done the same upgrade. I have them on my car and they made a very dramatic improvement.

I just thought of something that doesn't seem to be mentioned in this conversion thread. Will my 16" steels still fit for the winter?

Edited for accuracy.

The 6th Gen brakes fit under 02-03 OEM rims but NOT 00-01 OEM rims.

im going to add q45s calipers onto my 00 with 04rotors and relocation kit. its gonna take soem work. the q45 uses a thicker rotor so im gonna have to space the pad somehow. i already have my ne calipers just waiting to go on. the only reason i got them is cause theyll fit under the stock 00 17s. at least what im told. i wont be able to finish this project for a few months but ill post pics when im done.

i've tried doing a search for the 2004 + front calipers on about 5 websites. They only show calipers for 2003 rear wheels. Anyone have links to sites with the 6th generation brakes?
