Front driver speaker cuts in and out.

I remember reading a while back about a common problem on 5.5 gens with the driver side speaker(s) cutting out going around corners or accellerating.

I could not find information about a fix for it(if there is one), or it could just be that I need to check the wires.

Does anyone know of this being a common problem. I have the Bose system but I do not know if that makes a difference.

Help would be appreciated.

i dont have bose but i had the same problem....
my speaker cut in and out because my seal was bad and water was getting in the door... would prolly make sences on cornering because the water would spalsh up and touch the connects.. idk if that helps at all but at least its one thing out of the way

Its a very common problem on the 02-03 Maximas with the Bose system. It has something to do with the speaker or amp connection of the cd player. You'll find that the speakers work fine with the radio and even tape player, but cuts out with the cd player. Most people managed to get the head unit replaced (sometimes multiple times, because they use refurbished units) under the 36k warranty, but once you're past that, you have to either fix it by going aftermarket or pay out of pocket.

There is a write-up for a fix in the Stickies, it is the most recent post in the How-To sticky (it doesn't appear in the index, but go to the last post and you'll find it).

Thank's a bunch puppet, good to know its not just me. Ill check out that fix and see how it goes. If I can't fix it that way, I will just deal with it for a few months until I go aftermarket.
