Climate Control Question

My 01 maxima has a manual climate control in it now, if I was to buy a digital climate control unit, would it work properly as far as the auto temp feature goes?

Only because you have admited to the lunacy of the question will I put my flamethrower away. It will work only with extensive work hooking up the thermal sensors. It's simply not worth it.

This topic comes up from time to time. The cost and amount of wiring and work involved just don't seem to be worth the result if someone actually did this.

This is a useless post. I hope you're not doing it just to get past 15 posts.
