I am going to get a factory bra for my new car to use on trips. Is there anything I need to watch out for? Does anyone have one now? Does it work good? Any scratching? I was tempted to get the xpel or stoneguard, but I don't like the idea of taking the wax off of my car. It just sounds like a paint fading problem waiting to happen. Does anyone use xpel or stoneguard? i bought the headlight /fog light kit, but it hasn't come in yet. Thanks for the help.

I don't know if my search is broke, but I can't find sh*t with it!!!

I dunno

Well uh I was debating or not whether I should buy a bra or not and finally I broke the debate down to the major Pros/Cons:

PROS:
1)looks cool
2)rocks/bugs dont hit your hood/bumper

CONS:
1)Paint discolors because it doesnt get as much air/water as the rest of the body
2)You gotta take it off after rain/snow/etc.

With the help of FLOMAX *check out his profile to see picx* I decided to get a wind deflector like you see on pick ups or rigs, it actually looks pretty cool and helps somewhat. It cheaper, 60 bucks versus 200 i reckon, and well I like it and it fits nice, if you want more info check out http://www.autostyles.com/carflect.htm if you wanna pic check out profile pic of FLOMAX

I have the xpel and it does not remove the wax.?.? Not sure who told you that. It has done awesome to date and I am very pleased with it. No taking off bras during rain/washing and all that. But I am lazy. Only complaint is that I wish it went further around the car. You can not tell its on the car from further than 5 feet. You can see a line when you are within 5 feet of the car. You get 1000 warranty for fading, peeling and yellowing. I have had it for 4 months now.

Here is the pic Adam refered to.

IMHO I really like the carflector a lot better than I did the bra.

There are other shots of the carflector here, but it kinda blends in to the color of my car so it is hard to see in some places.

Good luck with your purchase regardless of what you choose.

I thought that you had to remove all of the wax from the car before you put the xpel/stoneguard on? Doesn't that leave the paint unprotected from the sun? You know, it sucks that we have to deal with this in the first place. Knowing that the paint is thinner on newer cars, Nissan (other other companies) should make the paint thicker or stronger on the front of the car. My '92 240sx never had a chip after 125,000 miles!

BTW, the deflector looks sweet on the black car. Not sure if it would blend in on mine.

I bet it looks sweet on your Max. Get some pics up when you can! I am so please with the way that mine is protecting the hood from chips that I want everyone on the board to get one installed on their max too. Later Adam.
