Does it sound like the teeth on the starter are broken? If so be carefull or you could chew up your flywheel.

I would check Voltage drop from battery + to starter + and bat - to starter ground. Both should be less than .5 volts. If both check out ok and all connections are tight I would condemn the starter.

DUMB Question:

could it be the remote start messing it up? does anyone know what the remote start module is looks like and is located? would it star if i disconnected it or would i have to re-wire the whole thing to bypass it.

sounds like the starter, some part of it. try pulling it off and making it work just with jumper cables from the battery. if you have a spare stick or something stick that on the starter teeth and push. if it grinds up the stick its good, if not you need a new starter.

Yea... I had to do that on my 89. It ended up being a relay. Havn't had that problem on my 00 though.

I would maybe try starting it with your remote start....if it starts with your remote start then the remote start is a little fubar....the only reason I say that, is when I installed my remote start, you have to cut the starter wire, so the starter kill is active..and if u used the remote start to start it, it would disable the starter kill.. or, maybe something came loose with the remote start install stuff..
