Picked up a California Waterblade
Finally found one of these things. Took a freakin' trip to Charlotte (from CT, no less) to do it but I got one. Used it this past weekend and was $hittin' bricks at first as I was dragging that thing across my finish. No worries. I can't believe how great this thing works. Cut my drying time down to next to nothing.
Anyone have any horror stories about the blade? I've only used it once so far so if there's anything I should know, please advise.
Cheers!

anyone know where i can get one online?
how much are they? and also, how come you can't just use a regular blade? like the ones for windows that they sell at walmart? i've seen some that say you can use it for the finish as well.
is the cal waterblade that much better?

don't worry
as long as you washed your car clean, and there are no foreign objects on the finish and the blade , then you will be fine, i've been using the blade for 2 years now , and there are no problems, they came out a while ago in COSTCO, for about $12 .
No thanks...
This topic comes up once in a while and there's
always some poor person who has scratched his/her
car with one. I probably have Zaino on the brain
right now, but I gotta agree with their
literature when they say that nothing is safer
than 100% American made cotton towels.
And that's what my father taught me, too
Save your money for mods. K-mart has 100%
cotton Canon bath towels on sale for $2.25.

I just got mine recently at Costco for $12 and I believe they still have them. However, Sam's Club does not carry them. They will not totally dry your car, but they help a lot. First I use the water blade to get the bulk of the water off, then I use the Absorber (fake chamois) to get in the places that the water blade missed.
