Found this on EBay today!

Greetings,

I was going through the EBay auto auctions and found this otherwise nice Maxima for sale. One of the photos though will make you cringe!! It would suck to wake up and find your car looking like this. Makes me not want to get the HID lights.

Plus he doesn't mention the damage done to the hood or driver's door handle. And that $373 for each headlight looks like it doean't include the ballast.

Wow... I'm calling shenanigans. It probably has a salvage record if it even runs.

I realize this thread was semi-dead, but I just came accross it and wanted to point a few things out.

Did anybody realize that one of the interior shots clearly shows a black Titanium Edition interior, while the rest all show a frost interior? Also, in several of the frost interior shots, the dash appears to have the normal 2-tone coloring scheme while the door panels seem to be a solid color (not normal)...what's up with that?

No headlights, a whole-bunch-o-sketchiness, and his reserve price is "only $12,750.00," what a steal!

Hmmm, yea, the pictures seem a little strange. I also noticed that he tried to keep from taking a picture of the hood on the side view pictures. The most obvious is what someone else already stated, two pictures and two different color interiors. That reserve price is WAY too high considering the fact that the car is totally base and comes complete with no headlights.

BTW, that site that he links to, Partstrain, I bought some headlights from there for my father-in-laws Toyota Corolla. The beam pattern is simply the worst I've ever seen. The driver's headlight beam is so bad it looks like both the low and high beams are on, even when only the low beams are on. They were cheap though, and so is my father-in-law so he's happy. I don't think I'd use Partstrain for my '02 headlights, unless I could return them.

Definitely a very shady auction, and it just goes to show that you need to be careful about buying anything on the internet....The interior is DEFINITELY not from the same car, because even the pictures of the frost interior has no tint on the windows like the car pictured, and there is one of a black TE interior....Also, nearly every picture completely avoids the headlight area, which raises suspicion about damages in that area....i sent him an e-mail making him aware of these things, and we'll see what he says....

The single color door panels for the Frost color are from an 03, that's pretty strange considering the car is an 02 and should have two-tone door panels. Also, he originally listed this once before as a "235 bhp engine" and I sent him an email saying for a Max enthusiast you should know that this car has 255 bhp...def. stay away from this auction and seller!!!

Oh, really? That's weird, I didn't realize the door panels weren't two-tone anymore in '03. Why would they keep a two-tone dash but not two-tone door panels?

WHat are you guys talking about? It says right in the description that he is a "just and fair guy" why would he try and rip you off? He's a maxima enthusiast and probably just modded his interior.

Ya kinda sucks...I like the 02 two-tone door panels better.
