Superflux LED bar pics & Exterior Overhaul Preview

Alright, well...just some random pics I thought I'd throw out there! First one is of my new interior lighting item. The CCFLs I have for the interior just do NO flow well with the rest of the blue LEDs, so I opted to make an LED lightbar instead. I am using superflux LEDs. The light output is AWESOME on these things. I will be making a total of 6 of these for the interior, I'll post the pics in the main overhaul page once I get them all done.

…next up we have some pics previewing the EXTERIOR OVERHAUL (yes, expect a big thread). The exterior overhaul is going to consist of the following items, in no particular order:

(1) Drop (help from TJ Max)
(2) LED sidemarkers using superflux LEDs in white
(3) CF 5.5gen headlights
(4) CF eyelids (done by me)
(5) CF AE bodykit (done by me)
(6) CF hood (done by me)
(7) CF Trunk (purchased)
(8) LED tails

…just some shots of the items I have been collecting…

…but in the meantime I gotta get the damn interior finished.

Where do you plan to install the led lights bars? Are you planning on making your bodykit from pure cf or you plan to lay it over the bodykit?

Oh, whatever CF I have left will be used under the hood as well.

Under the dash, under each seat, and in each door mapwell. 6 in total.

Just an overlay. A pure CF kit would run about $800 in materials ALONE.

unless you make it in the shape of a snail and make it whirl around and stuff, I doubt we'll be doing the same thing!

Regardless, if you're good with CF, I might be PM'ing you for some under-the hood dress up goodies!

I heart making money! First things first, I will need to see if my ability is up to the task of doing this correctly, although I cannot forsee any reason why not.

ever think of making an led assembly for the parking light in 02 HIDs? that litle light on top of the turning signal is hard to match HIDs, LED in those would look nice and bright. i'd be interested in some kinda mod for that....

Don't concern yourself with the MCD output. These thing produce twice as many lumens as a conventional 5mm LED.

Probably not. They are not cheap to make.

Is it possible for you to do a mini writeup for me on the led lightbar? This is the reason I purchased the extra 40 led's from you because I wanted to do this also and put them under my dash.

Interesting. How did you wire yours? I see that it is in a series. Where did you buy them from, I only have a good hookup on 5mm LEDs.

12 Ohm resistor for every 4 leds?
