Does anyone know which Apexi Filter we use?

I bought my apexi filter w/ the frankencar midpipe.. it's about time to buy a new one.. does anyone know the sku number of the direct replacement part?

i searched around.. and i saw sku# 500-A022 for 160x75mm

but.. i have a feeling it might be 500-A021 which is 80mm. Per apexi's site it says i might need an adapter for it.. and per frankencars site it says adapter included with the intake kit when i bought it originally....

so i'm alittle confused.. is it 500-a021 or a022?

here's the link to see which part goes to what car... http://www.aznpho.com/Image9.jpg

I JUST ordered the A022 just in case.

can anyone help me out? do i need to cancel my order?

I'm pretty sure you want the 80MM. That is the standard for Apexi and IIRC the adapater that Frankencar supplies is for an 80MM.

If I were you, I'd hit up Frankencar. Did you check their web site? Oh I just did and it lists nothing about the size.

80mm = approx. 3", which is the size of the intake tube.

I just ordered an Apexi filter from Berk. I was afraid to try Fankencar because I've nver gotten a response from them. Anyway, I gor it from Berk in a couple days and I didn't need the adapter. I'd have to look at the box when I get home, but they know which one it is. Very expensive ...

Hey, i can't start a new thread and this is as close as i can find. I am looking at getting the berk intake because that is what alot of people have and looks good. However, i was wonder if anyone preferred or could tell me why the knn filter or the apexi filter is best.

people with 5.5th gens buy the apexi for piece of mind... well atleast i do..

the apexi = dry filter.
the k&N = oil based.

2k2 (and a very small amount of 2k3) maximas that used k&N filters had their maf's fail because of the excess oil. so alot of 5.5th gen guys will buy the apexi because its a dry type filter....

only drawback of the apexi is that its double the price of K&N filters.
