Sun Roof ???

My sunroof "slider" switch does nothing, the "tilt" still works. To open the sunroof I have to keep pressing the "tilt" button to open or close. How do I fix?

Thanks.

I have had a similar problem. I had to constantly push the button to open or close. It was like that since i bought it. BUT- last week I took out my battery for like an hour or two to mess with my headlights, and i believe the sunroof reprogrammed itself or something?? but it works like a charm now!!! I am amazed, so try that and see if it works. I could be a fluke, but it worked for me. good luck. I was ANNOYED for months! but if you think you need a new sunroof button to fix it I have one I can sell you and save the almost $40.

this is a common complaint that has happened to a lot us of, usually resetting it like dj said works, unplugging the battery and plugging it back in worked for me in that situation, but when it happened again, i just turned off the car and started it again, it was okay after that. make sure to do that before swapping motors or switches or anything, save yourself some money.

To reset the sunroof, find the relay under the dash. Unplug that relay and then plug it back in. I've only had to do this once on an AE because the Auto Open/Close didn't work, and the switch had to be held to get it to open/close.
