I'm wonderin, do the other forums get as much crap as the 5th gen people do?
And... What would be better for a 2000 Max, supercharger or custom turbo?

this forum is relatively low key in terms of flames and stuff. You should check out some of the other honda forums and clubsi.

All forums get crap. It's how the posters/moderators deal with it is the difference.

What do you mean by "better"?? Put it this way, the sc is available and works. If you go custom turbo, you will spend more, have to completely design, fabricate, test-fit, tune, re-tune, tune some more, then hope you don't blow the head gaskets. Then "MAYBE" you might have the same(if that) power as the SC kit. Plus the extra 3 months it takes to put something like this together. Add 3 months if you are doing it yourself.

My suggestion is if you have to ask this question and you have the money to burn, go with the proven set-up. Even this SC kit has it's quirks but people have dealt with it already.

SHO Accord V6 vs Maxima.org 5th Gen forums

The Accord V6 forum is a pretty professional place. Occasionally we get some retard Si people that start flaming us because we beat them all the time too and they need to resort to verbal attacks, but that's nothing the delete button can't solve

You guys get more crap from Acura Type-S owners, though. The TL/CL guys that come on the SHO Accord V6 forum come mainly to talk shop, because most of them don't know as much about cars, and WE'RE usually the ones that figure out what mods they can do to their cars, since the Accord/TL/CL share the same platform....hahaha! They know if they start flaming we'll "cut them off"

Anyways, the crap we get from Si owners is just because they're immature and stupid.

The crap you guys get from Si people is the same as us. But the crap you guys get from Acura lusers is because they're immature, stupid, arrogant, superiorist, *****-azz azzholes, many of which have personal problems.

But we keep crap to a minimum over on the Accord V6 board through liberal use of the delete button - and now the Si-diots know better. I think Y2KevSE should give it a try with these Acura fools!!!

That's how I see things as an "outsider".

still, i know that the sc would be easier but is it better than a good turbo system. Who has turbo on their Max anyways?
You know what would be really neat? The maxima was put in Gran Turismo 3 along with the TL-S. I would buy the maxima for the soul purpose of smacking down the TL-S in races.
(Note: I played Gran Turismo 2 again)

Put it this way. Endyn is getting 400hp+ out of their SC for their NON-VTEC Integra motors. Still want turbo now?

To specificly answer your question. There are way too many varibles to accurately answer your question. What the hell is a "good" turbo system?

Expect anywhere from 0-100hp gains on the dyno.

heh heh, I needed to vent some steam on the CL-S ****** that keep on stopping by with their retard comments (see the other CL-S thread for my other rant HERE)

I maybe a Honda guy, but I have always loved the Maxima, too. My gf/stb-fiance (stb= soon to be) will be needing a car in another year. She already looooovvves my Accord V6, so if I convince her to just take my car then maybe I'll pick myself up a new 2002 Maxima SE 6-spd with that nice little 3.5L 260-horse engine when it comes out!!!!

(And maybe that's why I'm hanging out here to begin with too! If that 2k2 with the 3.5 was available this year when I needed to buy, I don't think I would have been able to resist! )

Our board does not have the html feature turned on, so all other boards are better. But seriously, turn that html feature on, it will make us that much better than the others.

Turning off the HTML feature is a preventative measure to keep people from posting javascript and other code that could really do some funky things to your browser and the site. Not to be your mom or anything, but its "for your own protection".
