These are supposed to be brighter, as for longevity, I am not sure, but the price point is pretty much the same...

I was one of the first ones to buy them when they came out & when I did, there wasn't any instructions about sealing up ballasts and such, is that what you mean?

I wore rubber gloves while installing my DDE's too. It keeps the insides of your headlight much cleaner (no skin oils) and also keeps you from gluing your fingers to the headlight.

I've custom built (bent) CCFL's and made DDE's before
rubbing alcohol/window cleaner does a great job at cleaning stuff. Having glass housings helps aswell

CCFL's are thinner and the light is uniform and brighter, overall a much cleaner look.

This way you can leave them off if you want. Plus I hate the look of aftermarket switches in cars, they always look cheap and tacky

Sure the LED tubes look a little thicker, and maybe the light is not as strong, BFD. They're also 1/6 of the price! And the reliability can't be any worse!

All options look good for angel eyes. It all depends on personal taste which one you like better. Some people like a switch so they can turn it on and off whenever they like. It does look cool without any other light on in the dark!
