im SURE there are better ways that this, but on my old car, we cut the tint underneath the weatherstripping line and carefuly peeled it back. it came off in a bunch of little pieces, which sucked. then we basically used rubbing alcohol to get the glue off. it took a few hours to get it basically done.

You may be better off taking it to a tint shop if you want it done right. There is a process of getting it off more easily. It involves something like placing a garbage bag on outside of window and ammonia setting on the glass so that the glue from the tint will soften up and the tint will start to peel. This work best on a hot summer day.

Removing tint.

I have had to do this because my tint was 20% on my Tuarus SHO. The security guards wouldn't allow me to go on post.

I used a hair dryer on the outside of the window. Heated up the whole window and then peeled it away. Some adhesive was left over and I used "ORANGE OIL." That worked pretty damn good and it smelled have way descent too. Not like ammonia. You can also use WD-40. That stuff is good for removing TAR off the bottom panels of the car, gum, oil, and if you spray it on a towel then apply it to a window, just let it sit there and in a 10-15 min you can scrape it off easily with a razor blade. Of course you wouldn't want to do that with the rear window because of the defroster. With the rear window your best bet is to heat it up then use ORANGE OIL.

Here is an EXCELLENT SITE that will answer that question:

There are pictures on this site on how to do the TRASH BAG METHOD:http://www.advanceautoparts.com/engl...021101tr.html#

Good luck.

heat is key. at the tint shop that i work with they use a steamer. it's a lot of work on the back glass because you have to use the steamer and work a little at a time so you don't mess up the rear defroster.
