Relevant background information: I have 20% tint.

I normally crack my front two windows about 1" on a hot day but I don't like to crack them for two reasons:

1. It could start raining and I don't have those visor things to stop the rain from coming in.

2. Cracking the windows allows UV rays and bright sunlight into the car, even if it is only 1" of light.

Does cracking my windows keep the interior as cool as possible? Should I keep them rolled up?

Would a windshild visor help?

From what I've heard, visors do help a bit. Park in the shade.

The windshield sun shade helps if you park the front towards the sun. Find a tree to park under if possible(watch out for the birds). Having a white car will help too.

If I pop the sunroof up and it rains, will water get into the interior at all, or will it drain through the sunroof drains?

tint+windsheild shade work the best for keeping direct sunlight out. i usually crack 2 windows to get some breeze through the car. 1 window only lets hot air out of the vehicle. with 2 windows you may actually get air flow through the cabin. when you open the sunroof, its the best way to vent hot air out of your car. hot air rises, and excapes right throught the sunroof.

It will get in, especially if there's wind and it blows it in. I left mine cracked open last summer and it rained overnight...left water stains on the headliner.

leave the a/c before you leave your car. Remote start it five minutes before you go out.

The bubble wrap looking metallic colored window shades work wonders (better than cracking the windows). Got a generic set for $15 on sale at Pepboys. Doesn't fit very well, but it works. I've seem ones custom trimmed to fit the Maxima for $30 on the net. If they made them for the side windows or a car cover, I'd get them.
