Black Max, black Grill, black 02 headlight mod, pics inside

Hey guys, Just thought you might like to see these, as I've pretty much completed my mods and done the full front end blackout treatment, cleared the amber turn lens also. Lot's more pics on my domain!

Sorry guys, should have given it a better wash first.

Great looking Maxima! That front fascia looks a lot like my 2001 20th Anniversary Edition fascia.

Looks nice and clean. Doesn't need anything else.
I'm about to do the same, just have to paint my lips and grill.
Did you paint the whole grill black or just the outside of it where it was grey?

What kind of paint did you use i.e. brand and color? Is it flat black? My car is majestic blue and I think I'm going to do this mod. Looks damn nice.

Thanks, I used a gloss black enamel generic brand for the headlights from the local hardware store.

Thanks, http://www.innerbean.com/housecor/clear_HIDs.html

Here's another great write up:
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/209763/3

The note to add to Housecor's is there are three tiny phillips head screws that need to be removed before separating the clear plastic headlight cover from the housing, one is under the plastic ballast holder ( need to remove the ballast 3 screws and the holder another 3 screws) and the other two are on either side of the fender mounting pin.

Thought about it, but I'm happy with it as is, same as the suggestion of blacking out the window trim.... not my thing I have chrome burger logo on the front, left the chrome trim in the headlights, chrome window trim, chrome emblems on the back and polished exhaust tips, bright wheels, clear sides it all carries nicely IMO, but thanks

Totally understandable. That the best thing about cars...you can do whatever YOU want! I think your car looks awesome, smooth, dark and evil...the way cars should look

Did you black out the rear lights as well? Or did you put a 5th gen lights instead of 5.5 gen?

looks good, but if you truly want a blackout look, you need to smoke the side markers and get rid of the clears.......

For your year to black out the headlights you'll need to crack them open ( oven method). Same procedure pretty much as the 02/03's. Here's a write up specific to your model year:
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2190617/3

Tails lights on my car are from an 2001 Anniversary edition, and for side markers: EBAY, lots of clears if you want smoked they are around but more $$$ or there is a film method or spray.
