Blue Batmobile,
What are the steps to getting the taillights all red and gunmetal in an 03 set as in the pics above? And how much would that cost?

So do I send out the housing to you, or do you send the overlay with instructions for the install? I'm interested in this and want to know how it works. Let me know. I not only want to red out the area but I wanted the housing to be gunmetal as well.

He'll send you the overlay w/ instructions. The housing itself would probably have to be painted like that gunmetal because it is behind the actual cover itself.

I hate the yellow blinker on my tailight. I want mine to look just like this:

If we get the red overlays...are you sending us perfectly cut circles to stick on top of the tailights or do we get a sheet of vinyl and we will have to cut them out ourselves.

I sent you an e-mail about this.

So its not the whole circle but only a half circle to cover up the amber only. I'm down for some if it matches like the pic above. How much for just the half circles for both side????

The first four on the maxima page are just the half circle redouts. I have the GLE tails so theyre already red around the cirlces

Ahhh, thanks. I think someone asked if they are exact cutouts or if the reciever has to has to make the cuts and do you just apply it on the outside?

I got the smoke side markers put on the car.....they were kinda of a pain in the a$$ to do and cut to the right size but they look freakin sweet on the car. So they were well worth it. I am at work right now but will have pics up at around 8 or 9 tonight. Sorry for the wait.

i'm still not clear on how these stick to the lens. Is it a film, or a thin lense type thing, or what? What is involved in getting them on?

Its just like tint that you would put on a window, just more flexible.

You spray some soapy water onto the lense and then place the smoke cover over the lense and squeze on the excess water under the lense and then use a hair dryer to make sure the lense fits to the curvature of the lense. Like I said earlier it just take time and a little patience to do. I f'ed up a little on one but you can not really see it even if you look up close.

I think a little darker smoke would have looked a little better on my color but I like it so far. If you look really close at them you can see the clear portion still on the edges on the back of the lense. The led lights shine through that portion and it looks like **** so i had to use permanant black marker(yeah I know its ghetto but it worked) to cover the back side. The edged did not come out perfect either since I had to use a razor to cut the excess off. I should have taken a little more time with the first 2 but it all else fails and I do not like it Ill just purchase 2 more.

Makavelisk, that looks really good. What percentage tint is that btw? 3/10 or 6/10? I'm very interested in those now.

Whoa, not digging the smoke side marker on the blue Max. I think the regular clear side markers are very sharp on blue Max's.

Im not really sure which ones....but im guessing the 6/10

Epacy, I think that these are going to look better on grey luster, black, and probably white. I will say that it does look better in person than in the pics. I am just going to run with the smoked lense and see if the grow on me and see what the people on my team think and go from there.

I'm not interested in the smoked lenses.
I was asking about the rear cover for the amber lense on 5.5 gen tails.

Ahh, gotcha, sorry.

I didn't specifically change the tails, it just happened as part of the photochoping. <---- new word!

Well I went over every corner lense to make sure that there was no bubbles or any of the tint pealing off and so far so good. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants smoke sidemarkers to get these from Bluebatmobile.....He answered all of my questions that I emailed him very quickly and also sent out the overlays super fast and the overlays are thick and nice quality. Thanks again Bat!!!!

Great pics! I can also do amber . In fact, ever thought of smoked amber? That would look nice . Mind if I add them to my Gallery? Maybe a few more closeup pics?
