Window trouble...

Okay, Ive posted on this problem last year, to no avail, so I am trying again in the hopes that the right person or persons will see this and help me out.

Anyway, my drivers side door creaks when I drive. When I give it gas from a stand still, I can hear a creaking that sounds metallic. When I brake, the same thing happens. It seems to only happen when its warm outside as I dont have this problem in the winter. I think it may be the window, or something involved in the operation of the window. Ive had my door panel off a couple of times to fix a dent I got in the door, but the damage the dent caused has nothing to do with the noise. The noise has been present and persistent for about 2 years. Its driving me nuts! I cannot figure it out. Ive asked Dave B what he thinks it is and he definately ruled out the hinges. I tested them last year. Also, the latch does not move, so it cant be anything to do with that. The noise seems to be coming from the back part of the door where it meets the B pillar. Im almost positive it has something to do with the window, but I dont even know where to begin? Is anyone familiar with the window system? What parts normally go bad that might cause this? Where should I look to try to fix this?

I REALLY hope someone can help me out as I am about to rip the door off and push the whole car into the Ohio river!

I'd remove the door trim and push in random spots to see if the noise goes away. You could also try that expanding foam in some areas to see if that would help.

I had the EXACTLY same problem (it got worse when we had a BAD snowstorm here in CT) and I tried using the spray silicone BEFORE trying the other recommendations and surprisinly enough, IT SOLVED THE PROBLEM!!!

I swear I thought the silicone wouldt work because the noise was pretty bad (griding) and I was sure I would have to change some parts... But no!!! The spray did it!

If you dont believe, check my previous posts... u'll find them easily describing the same noises u hear now.

Do you happen to know what grease they used? Was the sound apparent under acceleration and stopping?
